Alter ego, meaning “Other me” in Latin. One who carries alter ego may behave totally different from what he or she is in normal life. On the positive side, a good alter ego helps to boost confidence and overcome challenges. Rowan Atkinson, the cast of Mr. Bean, has been suffered with stuttering, which is fatal for acting. However, the stuttering problem disappeared when he is acting. This is because his alter ego made his behavior changed. However, on the other side, a bad alter ego will turn someone violent, feeling anxious. In worst case scenario, one may lose memory and even physically hurt others. Most of us carries alter ego, but we just don’t change that so often, or maybe we have switched to it without noticing. Usually, something remarkable (either positive or negative) in life will made someone’s alter ego getting more significant.

夬(䷪) is the 43th hexagram of I Ching's 64 hexagrams. These hexagrams represent different things in the universe. For example, 乾(䷀), the first hexagram carries the meaning of heaven, power. 夬 carries the meaning of resoluteness, meaning to fight for your beliefs. It is crucial to insist as an artist because artists are meant to create by themselves but not to follow other's opinion and orders. Therefore, with the Chinese name of 夬, I hope that I will continue to persist in creating something unique and influential. Using the name 夬 will also present my sino-background as a HongKonger.
